Your child's privacy

A plain-language summary of what we store and what we don't. The full policy is the legal version of this page.

What Spelly stores

An account holds the email you signed up with, the profile from onboarding (name, age, level, languages), your word lists, and practice progress — XP, coins, streaks, badges. That is what makes the app work; there is no advertising profile behind it.

What Spelly never collects

Nothing from students who open a shared link. No account, no email, no name — practising a shared list collects nothing about the person doing it. That is why a teacher can send a link to a whole class without a permission slip.

❌ No ads, no ad tracking, and no selling of data to anyone.

Deleting an account

You can delete your account and its data from ⚙️ Settings, or by emailing moshelog@gmail.com from the account's address. Deletion removes the profile, lists and progress.

📄 The complete legal text lives in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Anything on this page that seems to disagree with those documents — tell us, because it means we wrote this page badly.

Common questions

Do my students need accounts?

No, and that's deliberate. A shared link opens straight into practice, which means there is no student data to protect in the first place.

Is a photo I scan kept?

A scanned worksheet is processed to extract the words; what's stored afterwards is the word list you keep.

Who can see a share link?

Anyone who has the link — it's unguessable, but it isn't password-protected. Share it the way you'd share a class handout.
